Appearance: Naruto looks like your average teenage boy, except for three marks on each cheek which make him look like he has whiskers. He also has bright, messy blonde hair and tends to wear orange. Always. Personality: Naruto might seem a little annoying at first. Loud, brash, easily angered or frustrated. He's not afraid of telling you what he thinks of you -- if you suck, you really suck, and he'll make sure you're aware of it. He’s not the type of person to think before acting. He follows his gut instinct, and he’s incredibly stubborn, so once he’s set himself a goal, nothing can stop him. He’ll run into walls and simply break them down or find ways to climb over them; no matter the obstacle, it doesn’t serve its purpose for very long. Despite this, Naruto still tends to be very much of a child. He has a view of things that is much skewed, very optimistic. He chases after dreams and images of places and people he’s created in his mind. He’s selfish in the way that once he wants something – he wants it, and that’s all there is to it. That doesn’t mean he just sits there, though. He goes out to get what he wants, and he works for it. He’s a hard worker, always trying over and over when he fails until he finally, finally manages whatever it was he was having trouble with. He really wants to prove himself and be acknowledged for who he is. He’s incredibly caring, in his own way. He can feel for others easily, though he may not understand why they’re feeling a certain way, he’ll try to. Strengths: He’s stubborn. He never gives up. In that way, he can be unstoppable. Even with a broken leg, he’ll keep standing, will keep fighting for what he believes in. He knows various hand to hand combat techniques, so he knows how to defend himself and put up a fight. He also has a lot of stamina, so he can keep going and not run out of energy for a certain amount of time higher than average. Weaknesses: Anyone Naruto cares about can be considered a weakness of his. Not only would he do absolutely anything for them, he would give his life to defend them and protect them. Mentioning the Kyuubi can also, depending on the context, be a mental weakness. His main weakness would have to be that he’s not always paying attention to his surroundings/others around him, and can easily be distracted and caught by surprise. In our modern world, he would most likely be diagnosed with ADHD. | |

Background: Naruto has always been a lonely boy. The people of his village barely spared him a glance, and when they did, it was to whisper about him. He is the vessel for the Kyuubi, a demon that had once attacked the village. It’s because of this that the villagers didn’t pay much attention to him; they resented him for the things the demon had done, and told their children to avoid Naruto as well. It took him 12 years to make friends, to be noticed for who he was and not who was locked inside him. He set his goal to become Hokage – in other words, the strongest ninja of the village, so he could prove everyone just what he was worth. When he finally graduated from the ninja academy, he was put into a team with two of his classmates: Uchiha Sasuke and Haruno Sakura. With Kakashi, their teacher, they learn important lessons on teammates and companionships, learning to work together despite their differences. Sasuke and Naruto quickly form a rivalry, fighting to best each other at anything they can think of. His bond with Sasuke becomes his most important bond, and when the boy attempts to leave the village for his own reasons, Naruto fights him to stop him, without success. After this, Naruto’s goal of becoming Hokage takes on the second place. He concentrates on training to become strong enough to bring his best friend Sasuke home. After two years and a half without hearing from him, Naruto meets him again briefly, but things don’t go well, and Sasuke leaves again, after he coldly tells Naruto he’s simply in his way and he’s broken their bond. More recently, he’d gotten closer to finally catching Sasuke, but arrived minutes too late. He’s been told by Sasuke’s brother, Itachi, that he might have make a choice between protecting his village and protecting his best friend. | |
